Their calls cost them nothing and they can make a million of them a day so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.Unfortunately blowing an air horn or whistle doesn't work either. Their headset have noise dampeners plus they are expecting it. However with that said if it makes you feel better then by all means give it a shot. The banking system is also at fault here, without merchant accounts and ACH processing these criminals could not collect the scammed funds. Though the criminals use obfuscation, layered corporations, multiple bank accounts and offshore stashing, patterns of obvious fraudulent activity become apparent after a short time.If you are interested in obtaining useful tracking information on the callers, I suggest that you act very interested in the rate reduction scam, as you have multiple high interest cards with large balances. Tell them that you don’t give out card numbers in response to unsolicited calls. However, tell them that if they provide you with a verifiable number that you will then call them back and provide the info.Since many of the operatives work on commission they will provide direct contact numbers if they believe you are serious about completing the deal. Verified return phone numbers are an excellent tool in tracking the people behind the operations.Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone.  The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls  http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/07/robocall.shtm http://transition.fcc.gov/cgb/policy/TCPA-Rules.pdfYou can also try suing them in small claims court. This site has some information on how to proceed.  http://www.killthecalls.comMany of the disposable numbers come from Pacific Telecom Communications Group and they are currently under investigation and in the midst of various lawsuits. (The principles involved have been part of actions by the FCC under other business names).http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.comThe Oregon Public Utilities Commission has revoked Pacific Telecom's certificate to provide telecom services in Oregon. The Indiana Attorney General’s Office filed lawsuits against:Consumer Credit Group and Proactive Planning Solutions of Arizona for violating Indiana’s Do Not Call Law and Auto-Dialer Act known as the robo-call law. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with Federal Felonies and subjected to significant jail time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. The criminals behind this operation do not come to this site and even if they did they would have no intention of removing someone that posts here.I use this site to pass on information that I have gathered and hopefully it will give some insight into these criminal operations. I'm just a poor ignorant uneducated country boy from backwoods Wisconsin who has received more than 300 calls from these scum sucking criminals.Who the suspects are:http://complaintwire.org/complaint/ipzhHRymJA ... gon-robo-dialerhttp://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com/2012/08/30/fred-accuardi-and-illegal-telemarketinghttp://latimesblogs.latimes.com/money_co/2011 ... -companies.htmlhttp://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-revi ... ter-fl-90107305http://investing.businessweek.com/research/st ... vcapId=23957705http://www.ocregister.com/articles/cox-353170-agency-companies.htmlhttp://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/0923193/index.shtmhttp://articles.latimes.com/2011/nov/29/business/la-fi-lazarus-20111129http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22278http://www.consumeraffairs.com/debt/client_services_inc.htmlhttp://www.scambook.com/report/view/71722/Ambrosia-Web-Design-Complaint-71722-for-$998.00http://onthespotblog.com/the-hunt-for-rachel-at-cardholder-serviceshttp://www.scamchecker.com/content/cardmember-services-another-scamhttp://www.state.ia.us/government/ag/latest_n ... fundraiser.htmlMany of these calls are coming from Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false) numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC.These scum are making money by sending their bogus Caller ID information to your phone company. Telephone numbers are Calling Name (CNAM) provisioned and stored in a special database accessible to other telecom utilities.  This means that for any outbound call that transmits a special  code corresponding to one of their phone numbers, these criminals collect a fee for transmitting the caller ID information to the Local Exchange Carrier receiving the call.  When you see a  phone number in your caller ID (along with some name like Card Services), your phone company has to reimburse the caller for downloading that info from the database where it’s stored. These fees are typically fractions of a cent per call however when these fees are aggregated across tens of millions of outbound calls per week, it amounts to significant money.  Huge volumes of unsolicited telemarketing calls can drive significant revenue into the pockets of these scum sucking criminals. In return your phone company charges you a fee (it may be hidden or $5 to $15 on your phone bill).  Since they only pay out a small portion of this fee you can see why your phone company allows this to continue. Many of the inbound robo call numbers are spoofed, as most of the bolierhouses, both off and on shore, are using Voip SIP Trunks services. Throwaway DID numbers are also used. Some of the robocalling is operated by the end use scammers directly. Others are contract services who earn a referral fee once you are transferred to the scammers. If someone makes the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.

"Cardmember Services" no caller ID except phone number. I asked him which bank he was calling from and he listed ALL of the major banks. When I told him that was too generic and that I still wanted to know which bank he was calling from, he hung up.I didn't think about telling them not to call me back. It seems like each of the scammers don't call me back again anyway when they get challenged. Next time I will.Pfishing most likely. Legitimate firms would tell you their name.

I asked where they got my phone number and what company they were calling from and they automatically hung up.I am returning this call from, thank you for calling back.Press 1 to be removed from our marketing list.  I would love to have time just to entertain these idiots and find out who they work for, what information they need an bust them.  You know it is a HOAX and not legit.

Just received the same phone call from Sonia Edwards 530-217-6051 Global Destination Services in California. Basically gave me same info about Meinhardt Engineering planning a convention in Cancun at the Hyatt Regency and would like to reserve a 2-bedroom for $3600 plus $750 maintenance fee. It is truly unbelievable how many scam artists are out there.  We were scammed last year by Timeshares by Owner for $1200. Mindy Jonson was her name, assured us that our condo would be rented in November.  Well, nothing happened from that, and then she was never available to answer calls. Life's lessons are sometimes very costly!

Ricky (female)  called me from Global Destinations today to rent my timeshare for $3,500 per week plus $750.  They would charge the exchange fee of $199 but it wouldn't be final and I could change my mind until I receive the check between Nov 28 and Dec 3.  I told them it didn't make sense to have to wait that long if they already had it rented out.  The then said they had 137 units already rented and only needed 140 to close it out.  I told them I could rent out 3 weeks to close it out and she was happy and said I could get my check in a week because now all rentals were completed.  It made no sense at all and I continued to question her.  I told her I would be happy to rent it out for $1,000 or $2,000 if I didn't have to pay the $199.  She said it was a big company and they could afford the $3,500.  I told her it didn't make sense and that no one would pay that much money to rent for one week and if your buying 140 units for the same week I'm sure she could call RCI and get a better deal rather than pay me such a large fee.  She then hung up on me.

I am helping an acquaintance with managing her timeshare.  Her late husband had advertised their timeshare for rent.  She got a call from a company and asked me to call them back. She gave me the number so I called it but is was invalid.  I told her to have them call me direct next time they called.  I received a call late last night from a (303) 912-8368 number (changed number recording when I attempted to redial it).  The call was the same exact detail as what Pat above got but from an Isabella Chase at Global Destination Service she gave me this 530 number to call back.  They are convincing but I told them I needed to confer with the owner and call me in the morning.  She put a manager on the line to supposedly take care of exchanging the timeshare for me for a mere $199 fee.  So far they have not and I don't expect them to either.  I kind of hope they do so I can give them a piece of my mind.

We received a call from a representative for Destination Service, LLC on Aug. 17, 2012. The lady was very convincing about wanting to rent our unused timeshare points for a convention that is supposed to be taking place in Cancun. The rooms needed are for an engineering group call Meinhardt Group. The accomodations are to be at the Marriot Hotel. The representative quoted that they would pay $3,600 p/week plus reimbursment of $750 for maintenance fees. We questioned her on the telephone about the possibilty of this being a scam and she offered to let me speak with her supervisor. Even after I continued to question her about this seeming "too good to be true"  she emailed us with the same offer in print. It contained links to several web sights for our reference and a copy of the rental agreement. The same lady called us at least 3 more times that day wanting to know if we had reviewed the information and was ready to respond. Very persistant. We are so glad we did a little research and found the complaints above. Thank all of you for your comments and warnings - you saved us from a SCAM.

I received a call from Destination Services, also called Global Destination Services. The sales person is  Tanya Edwards Rivera. She said they are located at 411 Lincoln Highway, Sacramento. She said that they would rent out my timeshare to the Meinhardt Engineering Group for a Convention in Mexico and all I need to do is pay them for the reservation fee of $199 per reservation. They take your credit card number and charge it to different companies--Divas and Beyond, Catered World Wide Web, Gater Web Hosting -- and others, saying its a way to avoid international exchange fees. They say that Premier Exchange, another company located in New York and in Orange California, will be reserving the actual timeshare once they get the reservation fees. They say they are booking for a convention for the Meinhardt Engineering group at the Hyatt Regency in Cancun, Mexico. They will pay $3600 per week plus $750 maintenance fee. THEY ARE VERY CONVINCING AND PERSISTENT. They call daily to give you updates--with invoice numbers etc. They e-mail a verification agreement in microsoft word and say a formal contract will come in the mail with the check to you at which point they ask that you sign and return the contract. BEWARE, they are pretty convincing. I have disputed all the charges and changed my credit card number.

I got the EXACT same thing in Sept which I agreed to.  I got a phone number to call back, which I did asking where my check was.  They either put you on hold or tell you someone will call you back.  Now when I call they don't even answer - you listen to music and a recording your call is very important to us and after 15 min they say good bye - you get disconnected without ever speaking to anyone.  They wanted even more out of me and I said NO not until I see this first check which never came.  I did get someone tell me they were sending out the checks next week and that was a month ago.  they call back and use different names but the voices all sound like the same person - Charrie Hilton, Tonya Edwards, and a sonya all women but a man was answering the phone saying he'll have someone call back.  I was told that a Katherine Young was mailing the checks - and they all had accents like they were either Phillipine or from southeast asia.  Looks like their web site has changed as well.  so they take advantage of us North Americans making promises for our timeshares and then we never get any thing in return.  Lying deceitful foreigners.

Called a few times this week.  About eight years ago an acquaintance put me down as a reference on a school loan.  Would have been nice if she asked but still. With in a few years she defaulted and fled to her home town in Canada.About three years ago I started getting mailings from SM directly.  I called them and filled in their forms.  The SM person I spoke to the second time promised no more calls.  But they continued to call and send more forms.  Then the collectors started calling for her at my number.  One saturday AM I got maybe eight separate calls which I learned from this site were from SM's collection agency.  I spoke to a guy and told him that "Pam doesn't live here, I heard she fled to Montreal, but beyond that I don't know."  He seemed a bit confused by that but eventually hung up.  45 minutes later they called again, and asked for Pam (different caller).  I informed this dim bulb that "I just explained the matter to your call center co-worker."  The flunky sputtered in confusion and hung up.  I thought that would be the end of it. Silly me.  Glad they don't have MY SSN.

WOW, wish I had known to google that #!  I actually only got 1 call from them and picked it up because I live in the South Florida area and with my business here also, thought it might have been a customer!  WRONG!  It wasn't, said they were Sallie Mae!  Now knowing it's not actually them I won't pick it up again!  Just gotta figure out how to block it on my cell phone.

Comment, I guess the Do not call List is meaninglessUsually telemarketers call Long Distance, I am Local to Painesville, are all of you from Northeast Ohio who get these calls?  Painesville has a very limited dialing area. It calls my Cell phone which I just got 6 weeks ago, I did without a cell for all these years, now I know why!  I'm tired of the Bill collectors calling for the prior owner of thes #, 7 these #'s are suppose to be shut off for at least a year! The people (couple) who had my # were wreckless with finance & services, now this gal is going to have another kid as her OB GYN keeps leaving me voice mails. Its sad these people are allowed to reproduce!

I have been getting fax calls from this number for months.  Beyond irritating.  How do these people get unlisted numbers anyway?  Isn't there someone who's supposed to enforce the do not call list or is that just a way for them to buy the list so they can annoy the rest of us further?

I called it back and it said it was a WCA Customer service - you have to listen to some stupid automated person before you can push 2 to end their "service" of calling you every second... Still don't know how they got my number...
