This is interesting... all of the posts saying that this is a medical alert sales call. Interesting BECAUSE not more than 5 minutes before receiving this call, another came through from 609-032-8543 (area code was actually missing from my caller ID but the ID name said "Pennsylvania" so it was easy to google). Posts regarding that # also say it was for medical alert. My mother is 82 and doesn't need to be bothered with these calls (especially the ones that don't leave messages on the answering machine).

I have received multiple calls from this number. The message targets Seniors looking for an emergency alert device. On many occassions I have pressed 5 to be taken off of the list, but they just keep coming. When you press 1, no one is on the line. When you call the number, it says that the number is not in service, which is just an answering machine meant to replicate a message from a real telephone operator.

Someone called this morning from an unknown number asking if I receive unwanted telemarketing calls.  I said, "Yes, this" and hung up.  Seconds later, they called back and the number 268-2029 was displayed.  The Arab caller claimed to be from a government agency for the Do Not Call Registry and that I needed to follow steps to be taken off the list for the next five years.  I would be sent a five digit number, she would call back and retrieve that number.  It all seemed too weird and I assumed it was a scam because government agencies usually have their name and number displayed on caller ID and are not local numbers.  I told the woman I was not interested and hung up.  I'm not sure what they were trying to do, but I wasn't about to take a chance.  BEWARE!!!

Don't bother to answer.  Must be a scam or something.  Good rule of thumb is that if it is important, then they will leave a message.  If not, then it is another garbage call.

11 Report Long ago Unknown
This is a scammer call, they want to get you to pay for something that they won't really deliver.  If you're on the national do not call list, please register a complaint as I just did so that hopefully they'll have to stop....or at least we'll have made it a little bit harder for them to try to rip people off.  A few months ago they were selling water filter systems.  Now apparently they've moved on to power consumption.  Crazy.  If you want an audit, call your power company and they'll send someone out for free!

I was approached in the grocery store a few days ago by a man by the name of Zach Arend.  After about 10 minutes of rather pleasant conversation, we swapped phone numbers.  And today, he called me about a supposed job opening, and since I'm a college student, i might be interested.  Well, researching the site has brought me here, and I'm glad i found out.He called me from a different number, however. 972-855-8891

Wow all sounds familiar. I was approached in a grocery store by a man named Michael Nahas who claimed to be a practicing attorney.  Being that my background is in technology and investigations, it sounded as if me doing some side work for him might be a good partnership.  I was very skeptical when he gave me a VERY  plain business card with only his name and phone number and a business called Nahas International.  By the way the phone number he is using is 412-657-9409.I went home and did some poking about on the web and found leads back to his business as being one that had revenue of less than $500 K per annum.  It gave me a business address that came back as a small 3 bedroom home in the east of Pittsburgh, PA.  A practicing attorney?  Hmm.  So I did not call him or give it any thought.  He called me several weeks later.  I was intreaged to hear what he had to say.  Investigative minds want to know.  He asked me to meet with him and gave me similar video info as seen above.  I picked apart the bits of info in the video including the URL and landed here. The pyramid schemers are getting very crafty are they not? Sorry Mike you are a nice guy, but no sucker here!

Same situation, different phone number:612 387 5534.It is an online advertising pyramid scheme. My story:I was working at a large retailer in Minneapolis when a man approached me and asked me to help him find a product. His name was David Ebersviller. He was a very friendly and intelligent guy who was good at steering conversations in the way he wants, avoiding direct questions by hiding behind very vague statements or a promise of more information later. He asked some personal questions so that he could get an idea for who i was and tailor the conversation to fit. He offered me an interview, we exchanged contact information and set up an interview at a coffeeshop. We had a short interview in which only vague information, similar to the video that you will find on their website, was shared. He then set me up with a group informational session, which i did not attend because I did some research on the company and also found this website Here is a link to his difonline.com type webpage that I assume everyone that is part of this pyramid scheme gets: http://ebersviller-intl.com/. Here is the link to the parent site:http://dyfonline.com/. Looks nice, lots of multimedia, a short video that extremely vaguely says this is a pyramid scheme. So you can't just enter the site without a login name and password which the recruiter/advertiser will provide you with without your permission. This having been said I am ok with anyone using my login name and password, which was provided freely, without my consent and with no stipulation not to share it: email-bpjensen@stthomas.edu, password-4419. This will give you a look at the company. I think this pyramid scheme works so that the people on the bottom of the pyramid use their social network to advertize products to their friends and that when the family and friends buy the product, they enter in some some sort of identification number that shows who referred them, then the person who did the advertising gets a portion of the profit. Also the people who recruited this advertiser probably get a small portion of the profit also. The advertiser, once having exhausted their social network turns into the recruiter and recruits more advertisers with. I think this guy was a good guy and his reason for finding it ok to exploit me as another leg on the pyramid that supports him is that he thinks he was providing me with a business opportunity that he himself thinks is legitimate. I do not. The phone number he used was 612 387 5534.

I was at the grocery store and this guy with no cart or basket comes up to me and says I look familiar. He asked if I worked around here.Nope.He asked if I went to school around here.Nope...Hmm...... do you go to church around here....?Yeah!He said he must have known me from there. He asked me a ton of personal questions, seemed really friendly. When he found out I wasn't working he ended the conversation saying that "a few friends" have a marketing job and randomly offered me a potential job. The whole time there was a suspicious lack of information on his part. I asked him to join me at my college church group that night he goes, "Ohhh no, I gotta meet some guys later, then work the night shift" at some other job but "maybe next week."His name was Kevin Smith. We exchanged numbers and later he calls me and leaves a VM then calls again the next day and starts to get pretty pushy and says I need to attend this meeting tomorrow at "I think the Hilton," "if you wanna make money." That phrasing sounded really canned... It was all adding up to some serious sketchiness and when he sent me an email at this Dyfonline and I had a login I was like "okay, what the crap."In retrospect it's all coming together. Of course he opened with "do you work around here!" Wow.Thanks so much guys for posting here and helping me get to the bottom of this.Love ya."Where there's smoke there's a fire."

They work for Amway. It seems like they started a business with Amway and recruited more people to make money for them under the guise of making them successful entrepreneurs. Amway: http://www.amway.com/ENI say why do business through B+C when you could start your own business with Amway directly and keep all the money you make. That video comes off as a total brain-washing creeper video. I got a call from 757-667-9744 (a Norfolk number) and he said an old friend of mine from the Navy gave him my phone number and email saying he thought I would be interested in this. His name was Vincent Rose and he emailed me from 5624534@dyfonline.com with a username and password to dyfonline.com that he created for me. After that I got a text from the previous phone number saying he sent the email. His email signature had a different reply address though, Vincent.Rose7@gmail.com After watching the 5 min video, I browsed the bare-bones website, the name at the top was VP International despite the domain being http://dyfonline.com. Vincent was also the only contact under the Contact Us option with only the phone number he called from. The video was extremely vague and it was for web based marketing. He asked where I was located and as luck would have it, there was a workshop I could go to about 30 min away from me.He said he'd call back in 15 min after I watched the video and when he did, I asked him very specific questions, which he dodged. When I outright told him it didn't interest me, the chatty guy got off the phone pretty quick.Honestly, this was suspicious from the beginning since it is not in my buddy's character to recommend me for jobs without telling me he was going to. I'm willing to bet "Vincent" gleaned all this info about me from Facebook.

Because I trusted the lady who recruited me, I attended the information session at the hotel she told me to go. The real company is amway. They try to get people interested in amway by making people look at dyfonline.com to make them curious about this part time job. Received a voicemail from an Adam West with the legal dept of Hallstead Financial; said to call him back at 866-802-4339. I wrote down the number he was calling from 305-967-7753 on my caller ID. That's when I found all your posts. This guy said I need to call him back asap regarding an urgent matter. Failure to return his voicemail would "render him having to make a decision on my behalf without me being present and/or notified." I guess after reading the posts, I won't be calling him back. Personally, even without the online posts, I would figure that anything legal would come in the form of a certified letter - not these harassing phone calls to my work.

I had a conversation with the supposedly company yesterday. I thought it was funny because they told me they were from the White Collar Crime Investigations Department and someone told me that White Collar only investigates people who has stolen millions of dollars. They told me that they were going to fax over the paperwork to take me to court yesterday. He told me to come up with $450.00 and he would be able to let it all go. I spoke with someone else about it and they said that business does not get handled that way. The payday loan was only $200.00 its not that serious. I have other payday loans out there for more than that and they are really bothering me over $200.00 and told me that I would be going down for a felony I guess they think I am supposed to be stupid because I know in Florida its not a felony until it reaches $500.00 and above. He claim to have pulled up my criminal background and he had my social and the info to where I work. I spoke with a man name Donald Mercer and supposedly this lady name Jennifer Page was supposed to be over my case. I am very upset and I am not going to lie I thought they were a real investigations department so I decided to get up this morning to look them up. I guess after all they are just bullsh*tters!
