Enterprise would make sense in my case.  I did just rent a car.  But I'm with an earlier reporter--Sunday afternoon?  Come on!
Report by EDG Long ago Unknown
Call received 4PM Sunday, Aug 3, 2008. No message, hung up when voice mail started. Caller listed as Enterprise but haven't rented with them in six months.
Report by Diane Long ago Unknown
Got a call from this number Sunday at 1:35 PM.  They hung up before the anwer machine kicked in.  My husband had his car repaired two days ago and also rented a car at the same time.  Apart from that have no idea why they are calling.
Report by Nicole Long ago Unknown
I just got a call from this number too.  I didn't get to in time to answer.  I also just rented a car from enterprise because someone hit me in mine!
Report by seatbelt Long ago Unknown
I received a call from this number, and I too, rented from enterprise yesterday.
Report by James Long ago Unknown
Got a call from this number today. I haven't purchased a car recently, but I did just rent one for a couple of weeks while mine was in the shop, so I guess it could have something to do with it.
Report by HY Long ago Unknown
Just called me...I didn't know who it was..but I have just purchased a car this past week
Report by CB Long ago Unknown
No message.  2nd time.  Heard about marketing scams from this area (St. Louis,MO) in a recent report on local news.
Report by jim Long ago Unknown
no voice mail after they called my cell phone.  I think it can be linked to the world series tickets i entered to win in-which i left my cell number as a home number.
Report by Jerry Long ago Unknown
Just got a call from this number, and some of the other people posting here, I just brought in a vehicle for repairs two days ago.  coincidence?
Report by Brandy Long ago Unknown
Just received a call (no VM) from them at 11:00pm last night (Tues) on my cell (which is a Seattle, WA cell).  Very odd time to call someone for a survey.  And, I have not recently brought in a vehicle for repairs or purchased one....weird.
Report by Casey Long ago Unknown
Rec'd a call (no vm) 8:06pm PST. Maybe they're one of those survey companies that calls to inquire about customer service after you take your car in for repairs. Just got my volks back from the dealership.
Report by Kel Long ago Unknown
6:25pm eastern time call on Juy 29th. Random, since I do not know anyone nor have I purchased anything from Missouri.
Report by Steph Long ago Unknown
Just called, no message.  If they're calling about vehicle shopping, then I think I know why they're calling me.  That's a relief, because I've been getting inundated with calls from 201-621-5696.  For a minute there, I was afraid the telemarketers at the 201 number had found a new number to harass me with.
Report by kpixie30 Long ago Unknown
sunday afternoon rec call from this number at 3:46pm no vm
Report by Deb Long ago Unknown
314-558-6686Call. No VM.**Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm**
Report by Ann Long ago Unknown
Just called, no message.  I looked it up because the number wasn't like any I'm used to.  What's the deal?
Report by Joe Long ago Unknown
I called and it is Maritz Research.  They have called me in the past regarding new vehicle purchases and such.  Not the typical telemarketer.
Report by Playmaker Long ago Unknown
They just called me tonight as well.  Not sure who they are.  Where are you located?
Report by Stick Long ago Unknown
They have called twice, without leaving a message.  I know no one in that area of Missouri, so I'm assuming it's some kind of marketing.

I got the same call from 661-380-3000.  Telling me that I won one of those 4 prizes from Virgin Group.  The guy had an Indian or P*** accent.  Told me to go to some hotel located at 1250 22nd St. NW, Washington DC 20037.  He transferred me to manager while I looked this up on line.  Yup, sounds like time share sales.  I've been to one of these time share presentation before.  Wasted a lot of my time.  DO NOT GO unless you're interested in some lame free gift that I ended up giving away.  I think I received some out of date gps.  It wasn't even user friendly.  The presentation felt like 2 hours.  It must have been 10 yrs and I still remember it.  Don't waste your time like I did.  I'd like to have those 2 hours back if I could.

Same as SA but my call was from 224-764-9744 today.  Talked with an accent and kind of pushy for me to commit to an appointment said his name was Rex and that I could contact him at 703-688-4656.  Until he gave an out of area phone number I was going to go to the appointment as I do periodically fill out prize entries at local stores.  Now I'll definately not go. Thank you for all your posts.

Didn't receive a call from this number but that is the contact number they gave me.  My call was from 661-380-3000.  Same deal though, my name had been drawn for one of four prizes tv, cash, cruise or car. Needed to be married or have a partner.  Now wait a minute isn't this some type of discrimination? Any way need to come to a drawing only 25 people for the four prizes. Said we did not need to buy anything to receive the prize. I'm signed up to go but am now having second thoughts. Sounds like a bait and switch type of thing.

This just happened to me today. This guy calling from 661-380-3000 told me I was a winner, told me I filled out a slip for a prize back in Easter 2011. Clearly I didn't remember that but he said he was with the AB Promotions. I couldn't understand him too well and made him repeat himself many times.  He gave me the list of prizes I "won" including $2500, a ford explorer or cash equivalent and a cruise. All I had to do is go to 500 Coventry Ln. Suite 140 Crystal Lake, IL  and claim it in person but first he said they only give the prize to married people and would I confirm that....that's when I told him I wasn't comfortable with this and "declined" the prizes and said bye. I called back to see if it was a dead number and then he called back (in error or bc I did not sure) and I declined the call. went through the four prizes (mentioned above) then connected me to his Senior Manager named Jason Wallace, odd... had a very strong international accent. Jason told me to pick a time for me and my partner to come and claim a prize and that we couldn't claim the prize without the gift claim code. When I said i'd have to call him back with a time to come to pick up the prize he gave me a number of 703-668-4656. Even more strange since the location they had us going to was and that area code is 815!

I got called today. Person who called me (from 202-239-8934) claimed I had won (1) $3500, (2) 32" HDTV, (3) cruise on Starline, or (4) Ford Escape truck. He had a really strong South Asian accent & we had a terrible connection, so I asked for a name and number I could call him back. He said I could call Tim Anderson, a verification manager at Sony Electronics, at 703-688-4656. I called and was connected with "Jim Anderson" who then rattled off slightly different prizes ($2500 instead of $3500 and available through Marriott, and a 3-day/2-might trip instead of a cruise) and a different story about how they had gotten my number. To "win" the prize there were qualifiers: had to be a couple, had to be between 38-65 (or 28-65 the second time) and make more than $60K (or $65K). To get the prize, I was asked to appear at 4641 Kenmore Ave in Alexandria, VA, possibly at a Courtyard Marriott.Got conflicting information as to which company they were reporesenting: I heard Sony Electronics, Virgin Group and Virgin Promotions. Searched online for "Virgin Promotions" and found lots of complaints that it's a scam to trick you into coming to a timeshare presentation. I was peeved they called my cell phone (plus I'm on do not call lists), so I reported them to the FCC. Do the same. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Vacation to Orlando/or a Cruise4: Ford TruckThe company was called Premier Concepts and in order to get the prize I had to go to the Hampton Inn Dulles/Cascades to get it with my significant other. More info on this "company":Visit http://www.yourconfirmationletter.com/ to see what they are going to push you to do.Your "prize" will be a "certificate" for a vacation.  You will have to pay to redeem the certificate & you will also be responsible for taxes, surcharges, fees etc. related to the vacation you "won".  In short, you will end up paying more for all the fees that you would if you booked a similar vacation on your own.  AND you will have to sit thru their 90 min. presentation for a vacation time share.  So the "prize" they claim you win will end up costing you time & money. They operate under a few different names, use a few different phone numbers, have many different websites, on and on, an on....

I was just called by this number. Obvious scam. Apparently I had "won" something. I couldn't really understand what it was. He said I filled out a ballot at a common shopping location. Then he said I was automatically entered because of a nine dollar or more credit card purchase. He asked me to come down to an address when I cut him off and asked if he knew my name. Well, no he didn't. I didn't fill out any ballot... but he did know he called a cell phone of some sort and claimed that maybe someone else entered my phone number... sure...

I received a call from this number and it seemed very legit at first.  It was a standard "Congratulations!  You won...."  After listening and being transfered to one of the managers, I informed him that I was not interested.  After telling him this (I believe his name was Rex Smith, or something similar) he became very verbally abusive, calling me stupid and accusing me of intentionally wasting his sales officer's time.  Whether or not this is legit or not, it was operated as a scam and receivers should be aware.

Noticed my answering machine picked up five calls yesterday afternoon. It turned out to be a fax machine from 816-559-9063 with caller ID showing DST Systems.  There is a DST Systems, Inc in Kansas City (816 Area Code).  As this is a publicly traded information systems & software Small Cap company with 11000 employees I trust this was just a clearical error.

The location was the Courtyard Marriot in Alexandria.I thanked him, but told him I wouldn't be claiming my prize.Sounds like a timeshare/vacation/presentation that you have to sit thru before claiming one of your prizes.Rep called from 202 239-8934 but gave his number as 703 688-4656.

I just received the phone call from the The Virgin Shopping group. I just received a call from this number. I spoke with an "agent" and then he put me through his manager: Jimmy. He explained that i have won a prize by filling out a ballot in a target, Wal-Mart, Kmart and that I could win 4 prizes. 1. 32 LED Sony TV2. $2,500 Cash Price sponsored by Marriott Hotels3. Vacation to Orlando/or a Cruise4: Ford TruckThe company was called Premier Concepts and in order to get the prize I had to go to the Hampton Inn Dulles/Cascades to get it with my significant other. He said it was only for couples and if I was single, just to mention I was a in relationship and I had to bring that other person in order to verify the addresses. The receptionist will give me a form to fill out, I will have to put the Gift # (9 digits). The form will also ask for the 2 names, age, combined income, We will have to show Id's or credit card if the ID didn't show the same address as the other person. Then you will have to go to the VIP lounge for refreshments and hear a speech of the 4 companies that where promoting the gifts. .

The "manager" was out of line and I started questioning the call, He said he wanted my email address, my Facebook and that he wanted a Date with me?!?!?! I called the Hampton Inn and the front desk told me that Premier Concepts was indeed at the hotel and that they were calling people about this, which made me think it was legit. So I call back to set the time for the appointment to be there, did more research and found this page. Thanks so much for all the posts. The police should investigate this. It it dangerous for anyone since whoever believes them, will provide their address on the form, credit card info, etc....
