Something to keep in mind about all these continuing bothersome calls for surveys, so called charities and so called charity pickups despite asking them to remove you from their list:Call centers have sprung up in my town that make use of the survey and the charity loophole around the do not call list; they have been a headache for law enforcement, emergency services, neighboring businesses and residential areas.  When I ask any patrolling officer in town about these call centers, they are quick to state their frustrations about the criminal activity that some of these call centers have brought into the area. Several law enforcement agencies regularly visit some of these call centers looking for warrant arrests etc.  I have heard from sources including from frustrated employees that work for these call centers complaining about the drug activity, vandalism of cars and neighboring businesses, break-ins and theft, drinking while on the job, smoke breaks are actually marijuana breaks, drunk driving, very dangerous driving, tons of tossed out litter of empty liquor containers, trash, food etc.  I’ve even heard that the mangers are also involved in criminal activities and have even preyed on their legitimate employees who are simply trying to eek out a living on horrible wages.  Also the operators are untrained in a very high turn around, poorly managed and dysfunctional work environment. Also realize this when you call a companies’ customer service line and get horrible service from the call center that’s been hired by the company.  One time while on a call with our bank’s customer service, the operator was so loopy that it required ending the call and calling again to try and get someone else to help, think about that when you call a companies’ customer service and the conversation gets odd, off the wall and obtuse – you may be talking to an operator that’s drunk or on something.  After 6 months of getting a different and wrong answer to our ongoing problem each time we called our bank’s call center, we gave up and closed the account. With so little police left in our town due to cutbacks, they can’t always respond to vandalism and break-ins when it’s witnessed as they have their plate full responding to the major emergencies, this allows the criminal activity free reign, the neighborhood becomes the hood.  Some insurance companies require proof of private security patrols before they will honor a claim due to vandalism or theft leaving the neighboring businesses off guard and uncovered.  These businesses also have the added cost to hire private security, install security systems/monitoring, upgrade lighting etc.  Then there are the dangers and headaches to the nearby businesses employees such as their cars being vandalized or broken into.  Some businesses simply give in, pickup and move out of town. One of my neighbors owns a call center and he requires that his operators are bonded, but I guess there’s no laws requiring this – there should be.  Right now in my town it seems like anybody can start up a call center and hire questionable labor for cheap without much regulation.I my efforts the past several years to try and get something done, I am most struck by the fact that there’s no real help, everyone is more worried about being sued than dealing with the obvious problem - you are on your own....

I received an email confirmation this morning from hub_duke2000013@hotmail.com informing me that I would be receiving a check for $1972 by USPS today (12/04/12) with instructions to go to the bank, deposit it and withdraw funds for a shopping assignment to Wal-Mart and then forward the remaining money to Lyudmila Volodarsky in Sherman Oaks, CA the amount of $1700.  I just got a bad feeling when reading the instructions completely and plan not to do this.  I also tried calling this phone # several times with "leave a message" and no person to talk with.  I am sure that this is a scam like everyone else and feel really foolish for even attempting to do this.  I just wanted to make some extra money.  I guess the best thing is what my father told me many years ago "you have to work for what you get".

Not quite sure. He asked if I received the check, I said no. I asked him if he had the correct address, he rattled off my address but I couldn't quite understand him, and so I repeated the numbers to my address. Hello, I just have a question. I have received an email from Paul James stating that this position is for an administrative assistant. My duties would be that he would send a check through ups, I am supposed to go to the bank and cash it then keep 8% and send the rest western union to a name and address that he provided. How did you find out more information on him? I went to the Better Business Bureau and could find nothing about his company.

Here is how to get rid of the calls:When they call pick up the phone, don't allow them to say anything, tell them you are on the Do Not Call list and they are to stop calling IMMEDIATLY. Tell them (true or not) that you have caller id to identify them and if they keep calling you will SUE them. No one in Corp. Americia wants to take a chance that you will not sue so trust me, they will stop! Then hang up with out giving them a chance to respond. My son is a telemarketer....I am a paralegal....we know this will work!

Received a call from this number and they left a lengthy message on my answering machine stating that they were calling in reference to my inquiry about working from home as a healthcare referral agent.  The message stated that these positions are due to the healthcare reform and that they are filling up fast and that I could make $400 or more a day.  Considering I have not requested any work from home information, nor have I filled out any publishers clearing house sweepstakes forms or anything of the like and am on the Do Not Call List, I am rather annoyed.  It is obvious that this call was unsolicited, is not from a charity organization and does not belong to a company that I have a business relationship with so they are certainly in violation of the Do Not Call List as it came in on my home number.  Considering all of the companies that completely ignore the Do Not Call List, it seems pointless to have even listed my phone number with them.

I received a phone call at 6:00 P.M. that was a recording explaining that I could make up to $400 per day by working with Ebay. Once I called and learned that it was not Ebay calling me I asked to be removed from their calling list. They explained that I had signed up to receive phone calls about work from home opportunities and that was my final clue to realizing that what ever this company is: their information is way out dated. How much more out dated might the product be that they are trying to sell.

THe company that owns this number (they use it on their web site) is:ROTALL MARKETING8502 East Princess Drive, Suite 180Scottsdale, Arizona 85255and you can judge for yourself what a mighty big piece of cheese they are and the likelihood that you are going to get jammed up and screwed royally or at best have a big chunk of your life wasted just listening to that much bollix f you contact them.  I think they are 3rd party advertisers dealing with / using publishers clearing house for hunting down customers.   Just remember the magic words "up to"....as in you can earn up to $900 a day.  Wow.....why not "up to a billion?.....since everything between zero and infinity is still "up to".  Forget about the fortune you will spend earning the $1.95 you are going see "up to" the time you turn and run away.  Seriously, stay away from insane slimy marketers, people claiming to be Nigerian Princes, and people on craigslist with fabulously expensive cars out of state of course, that they want to sell to you for pennies on the dollar if only you are willing to send them a Western Union Money gram, ( which BTW gets picked up in Romania much of the time).

I then asked for his number to call him back, after some choice words he gave me the number above 1-800-303-2359. the company was called Unlimited Consumer Benefits, ClearWater, Florida. I spoke with two indian guys Mark Williams and Richard Watson, really nice english names for these guys. When they called back I asked about the scam and why they were trying to take money from hard working people. He denied everything and said it was a true business and that I was a liar. They called here several times for my mother, even after she had already spoken with them, and were obviously from India and were not extensively trained in English or customer relations. I started answering the phone so that she wouldn't waste her time and they eventually tried to put this free "gift" in my name instead of hers. This of course led to a pitch about a free vacation, $500 shopping spree all paid for by the company Unlimited Consumer Benefits. All I had to do was send them $5.90 for shipping and handling to hire the UPS man to deliver my package with my shopping spree coupon and authorization code for my vacation. I told him that if they really wanted to send me a free gift it would in fact be free, and that I wasn't mailing them any money because it was obviously a scam. He then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't mail it anyways because they only accept credit cards, but that I was being foolish (by now he was quite angry with me) for not being willing to pay $5.90 for a $500 gift card and all-expenses-paid vacation. At this point I spoke with his supervisor because he was getting quite upset, and this "supervisor" was not only WORSE than the first guy, but actually proceeded to insult me! I asked for the business name, website, and phone number; the business and phone number led me here and the website (worldbestbenefits.com) did not exist. When I explained to him that his company did not exist except on forums regarding scams he proceeded to argue with me about how it couldn't possibly be a scam when he wasn't asking for the PIN number for my credit card (yeah right!). As a web developer and a computer engineer I was comfortable telling him he was full of crap, so he said "If you're so smart then I will give you my credit card number and expiration date and we'll see if you can abuse my card." I agreed and asked for his real name, at which point he began with his $5.90 pitch again because apparently he was beginning to take me seriously. He also redirected me to a website which did exist (journeypass.com) representing a vacation company in the UK to prove that his company - supposedly based in Clearwater, FL - actually exists. I still don't understand what he was getting at with that one. When I demanded he remove my mother from his horrid list and never call here again he argued with me for several minutes about how I didn't understand what he was asking for and how all he wanted was shipping and handling and kept asking for my card number. I eventually just hung up on him and he not only called back - he continued calling over EIGHT MORE TIMES after I stopped speaking to him! When he finally stopped redialing I called my phone company to have them trace the numbers and deny them through my phone line, but they said they don't have a way of blocking them if they are Unknown. However in my area (and probably others), there is a command *57 which you can dial after you've hung up from a threatening incoming call which notifies your police that you've been the victim of telephone harassment of some kind and traces the number whether it is undisclosed or not. Note to people getting calls from these numbers:Answer the phone, entertain them for a minute or so, then hang up. Once you've hung up, dial *57 and hit call (or whatever code there is in your area to alert the police of threatening phone calls). This will trace the number of your previous incoming call at your local police station.
