Holy God. Within minutes of one another got calls on my cell from 740-236-4133, 954-603-8783, 972-775-5702, and 516-506-4900, all of which left voicemails for "John" about his online inquiries for health insurance. (My name isn't John and I already have insurance, thanks.) Finally answered the last call out of sheer exasperation: When I told the caller to remove my number from their list he seemed to jump pretty quickly, so hopefully this will stop.

Hey Dan Hardwick (General Manager of PJP Health Agency):I wouldn't be so smug if I were you. Just because PJP Health Agency has not yet been shut down doesn't mean that it won't be in the near future. Many of the people who have been posting complaints about your company online have also been filing written complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, The New York State Attorney General's Office, The New York State Insurance Department, as well as the fraud departments of the various health insurance companies (UnitedHealthcare/Oxford, Blue Cross Blue Shield). These complaints not only detail how your company misleads customers by tricking them in to believing that they have purchased health insurance coverage when they have actually purchased a medical discount plan, but also detail how you fraudulently obtain health insurance coverage for customers by claiming that they are members of groups and associations which they are not members of. You can try to spin your lies any way you'd like, Dan, but the fact remains... PJP Health Agency is a dishonest company which rips off it's customers and defrauds insurance companies.
Report by Toni Long ago Unknown
Anyone who has been scammed by PJP Health Agency (whether or not you live in New York State) is urged to file complaints with the New York State Insurance Department and the New York State Attorney General's Office. If enough people who have been ripped off by this company complain to these two these law enforcement agencies, PJP Health Agency will be shut down and will no longer able to swindle people out of their money! Got a call from them offering me, what sounded like, an insurance policy. Immediately I knew that if it was an actual insurance policy, they should be going bankrupt if their claims was true, where they accept anyone. Also, the pushy nature of the sales person raised quite a few alarms, and any attempt to get information sent to me in a manner I can decide later was barely addressed and somewhat ignored in the overall sales pitch. The sales person also prayed on the fact that my family has pre-existing condition and that we would be lucky to get anything at all. To be honest, the discount plan they offer does not guarantee anything, and any example figures given in terms of percentages off is given in very specific areas like expensive prescription drugs, though they will try to be as vague as possible, for as long as possible. The only thing they sort of indirectly guarantee is at least 10% off, and to be honest, I am not sure whether you would get that percentage off with their help or not, as many doctors/facilities can be talked down or may even offer discounts without any effort. For instance, we had seen a doctor previous that knew we were paying out of pocket, and therefore worked some form of discount automatically in.So essentially, it makes you wonder if you just pay them for something you get to begin with, or can get yourself, while they take your money. Lastly, the sales person mentions quickly that they are a BBB accredited business, at which point I have yet to find them listed under the name they provide anywhere. They should be punished for praying on the unfortunate, luckily I understood what that the claims were too good to be true, but someone else may not.

Phil Teseo runs a boiler room operation!Phil Teseo Sr. Insurance (aka "PJP Health Agency") is not a "bona fide" insurance brokerage firm, it is a bunch of bottom feeding con artists who scam gullible fools out of their money by selling them worthless health insurance policies.Did you ever see the movie "Boiler Room" starring Giovanni Ribisi and Vin Diesel? Well that's exactly how Philip Teseo Sr. Insurance operates! Google "Health and Life Direct", "Phil Teseo Sr. Insurance", or "PJP Health Agency" and see for yourself!

I was referred to a company called "PJB Health Agency" of Melville, New York which promised me affordable health insurance coverage. Their coverage plan sounded good, so I gave them my checking account number, and they quickly debited my account. However, I have was never issued legitimate health insurance. In fact, I have received nothing that I was promised! After doing some research on this company, I have discovered that the health insurance which they allegedly offer through their affiliate (American Benefits Association of Blackwood, New Jersey), is not health insurance at all, but a medical and prescription discount plan. I have been scammed by "PJB Health Agency", and the money that was debited from my checking account was done under false pretenses!

Received 1 call from this # but they left no message. However, on the same day I received a total of 18 other phone calls from other numbers trying to sell me health insurance that I had supposedly applied for online and for which they were pre-approving people (even those with pre-existing conditions!) Yeah right. The other #'s I received calls from were :954-362-9205 , 954-742-5750 , and 1-800-317-4701I find it ironic that I received the calls the day after Congress approved the Healthcare Bill. Coincidence? I think not. My guess is that these people are running a scam trying to get some of your financial information or something.

NO need to fill out applications.  Simply get a directory of providers available in your area.  Obtain a contact # and phone them direct.  Although this takes more time, but for those INTERESTED in insurance ball park quotes are never as good as speaking to a live person.  Just have to know the right avenues.  Low income families should be going to there state dot gov to see if the qualify.

I recently went to a convention which cost $20, While there I entered a contest to win A trip. A few days later I received a call from someone who said I won the trip to the Bahamas! I was so excited and then he began to tell me that all I needed to do was pay $299 PER PERSON. $149 in port fees, and airfare for 1 person. ( they give 2 for 1 airfare). Also said I had to do some type of tour. If you win something , it should be free....scam!!

I was called by the number (718)228-1764 and was told I won a trip to Florida and Bahamas and they wanted me to pay $299.  I wasnt in a position to research the company, and they said it needed to be done immediately.  In a rush, I gave them my credit card number, and they gave me a callback number 1-800-231-1298.Feeling a little skeptical, I ran to the bank 30 minutes later only to find I was charged $449, $149 and additional charges were being added to a total of $1200.  Not only that, both numbers either have a busy tone or put me on hold for an hour.  Also, the reservation code they gave me is one digit too long for their site: book4florida.comneedless to say I closed my account and it's now being investigated.  Not sure if I'll get my money back though.

I went to the bridal show in Toronto this past weekend and I also got a same call about winning a trip valued at $2500, they want to send us the info package, but needed me to provide a credit card to pay the $598 promotional cost.  They claim to be Imperisl Vacation and Carnival Cruise and gave me their customer number.  I told them I would call them back and hold the promotion for just 5 minutes, but wouldn't let me off the phone. But yes, if you won't something, you shouldn't have to pay anything upfront.  It's definitely a scam.

I am a con runner for GottaCon (www.gottacon.com) and I got a call from this company last night.  They try to talk con owners into letting them set up a booth to advertise their agency and in return offer to give away a trip and provide other nice give aways such as ipods etc.  Sounded like a scam to me but I took their info so I could investigate further.  They claim to be JAD Travel but didn't have a website...what kind of travel company doesn't have a website??I spoke to a Jen Donohua and a David Biedick (spelling??)Anyway the short of it is, they try to play on con organizers weakness for needing cash by selling vendor booths.  I am guessing that they show up, advertise, take a whole bunch of info in "raffle ticket entries" then use that info to try and scam people.  Lets face it most gamers are pretty trusting people (and some of the best human beings I know) so they do make a nice target.  To quote the lady on the phone last night "...game cons, we make a killing at game cons!"I don't know if they are legit or not but I am not going to find out.  Anyway that is what I have to say on this.

I was contacted by someone with a heavy Nigerian (I believe) accent from a number appearing as "Cell Phone   JM" 876-299-4032.  The male person on the line claimed his name was "James Caldo" and was representing the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  Apparently I won $750,000 in a certified check (he gave me a "check number") and a new Mercedes Benz with 2 years of Geico insurance paid for.  I don't believe this at all and am concerned that this group James is representing is attempting to scam seniors (I am near a neighborhood with a great deal of seniors).  I expressed my skepticism and asked how he got my name and number.  "James" explained that somehow I won this because I pay my utility bills and have shopped at either Walmart or Walgreens.  He asked if I shopped at Walmart before and used a credit card there.  I said yes and he said that's how they got my information.  I explained how I am skeptical and would like to contact MGM Grand to confirm that this is a true story.  He told me I should call the General Manager, Joseph Kennedy at 876-419-0616.  He then proceeded to ask some questions that are company policy questions.  He asked me to confirm if he had my correct address, and he did state my correct address (I did not give it to him, but I'm sure this is available somewhere on the Internet).  I asked to tell me the rest of the questions before I answer any of them.  Unfortunately I didn't write down all of them, but these were definitely on the list: - If I am married- If I am talking to him from home now- If I have my drivers license and personal identification- If I am over the age of 60- If I am capable of doing something (I forget what - but I recall it sounded like he wanted to see how physically capable I am to do something)And I think that is it.  I then said that I'd like his number so I can call him back once I've verified his story.  He told me to call 876-499-4032.  So, I said I would call and check out his story.  After a couple of minutes James, the scammer, called back and sounded a bit nervous.  He asked if I called the General Manager yet.  I said no, I was calling the MGM Grand number that I have in front of me (looked up the customer service # online).  He interrupted and said no no no, don't do that, I will transfer you right now.  I said that it is OK and I will call the number I have.  He sounded more urgent and said no no and it sounded like he transferred me to someone.  I hung up.  He tried calling me back again, but I didn't answer.I then called the MGM Grand and spoke to the front desk (customer service is only there M-F) and they transferred me to the Supervisor of Security.  I explained the story to him and he said he would pass this information on to a VP there and I gave him my contact information if they had any questions.  Not satisified, I contacted the my state's main FBI office.  The person on the line referred me the FTC, since it was a phone call, not an email.  I submitted a complaint on the FTC site online over concerns of potential to steal my identity.
