Finally, someone who knows what they are talking about, any ideas on how to get it stopped?
Report by meghan Long ago Unknown
This is simply a SCAM. the number does not even belong in the US. This is how it works:  They are located somewhere in the Caribean, they call thousands of people a day (it's automated) they let the phone ring once or twice long enough to register the number on your cell. They always hang up and never leave a message. they'll call four or five times a day usually around the same time. This is the SCAM:  They want you to call them back! and they will charge you hundreds of dollars just for a few seconds of airtime, you will not notice the damage until you get you phone bill, and the phone company WILL NOT give you the credit  because YOU made the phone call ! !
Report by Vyron Long ago Unknown
I receive calls from this number daily they hang up if I answer or the answering machine picks up they hang up. My number is listed on the DO NOT CALL list.
Report by Luv2ShootThem Long ago Unknown
This is a scam.   They aren't even a real company.  Talked to them long enough to get a trace on the number - it's not even located in the US.  It's a "ported" number. They are out of the jurisdiction of the FTC so they operate with no regard for the DNC list.   That's why they are still calling after all this time. Don't give them ANY info, because they are not in the USA, once your money is GONE there is NO getting it back!!!!

If these baboons are selling the GE home security system, then you also need to call GE corporate and complain to them about their re-seller's robo-call marketing methods - which happen to be illegal.Nothing gets a response like a high possibilty of a public black eye and the resultant negative publicity and the revenue drop to follow.GE has the ability to find these goons who re-sell their products and services.  They can also revoke their agreement to allow these baboons to re-sell their products and services.  They could also sue these baboons if they cause harm to the GE reputation by their illegal robo-call marketing.Always follow the money.   Just like finding a skunk, the stink will lead you to the source of the problem.GE is looking the other way on this right now because people are mad at someone else called Security Solutions or Security Services - a company that probably in all honesty does not exist.   Their name (GE) is out of the picture - yet they are receiving the benefit of this robo-call marketing, so perhaps they should suffer some of the fallout from this crappy marketing method.  It is illegal.

To OhioCop ~ If you think these a****oles only call homeowners, I've got a real shocker for you.  I finally pushed '1' on my phone a few minutes to talk  to a rep, since pushing '2' to remove my number from their list doesn't work.  I got a guy, so I immediately told him that #1:  Do not hang up on me until I'm done and #2 ~ I do not own a home, I rent a small apartment and therefore have no yard to put a sign in!  He didn't know what to say but he did hang up as I was telling him to honor my previous requests to not call me.  Wonder how long it'll last?  Btw, this call was from Washington state; I live in middle Tennessee.  If I wanted a security system, I'd call somebody local.

The alarm companies will only speak to a homeowner, so I play along...    I tell them that I live with (insert relative here) and am visiting/live there/take care of them.    I tell them to hold on, then talk to "Mom" in the background.   I go back on the line, saying that she is taking supper out of the oven/in the bathroom/taking clothes out of washer.   I assure the telemarketer that she is interested in a medical alarm and will probably want to take advantage of their offer.   I tell them that she's in a walker, so it will take a little bit to get to the phone.   I then put the phone down.   I've had telemarketers stay on the line for as long as 22 mins.   They have to make so many calls/sales each day, so they will want to blacklist my number.   I have yet to have one call back.

I said, "you did?" And he asked me if I know the word Piker.  I said no, he said, "look it up on your google device" and hung up on me.  These people are complete unprofessional little pricks, and I can't even trick them into showing up.....   Screw the FCC, we need to bring in the SEALs on these guys and take care of them like they did Bin Laden!

Demand $100.00 per call paid within five days. When they don't pay, take them to small claims court and demand $500.00 per call, judges hate these people too. I got $1500.00 from one contractor, 3,200.00 from another, and my neighbor got 4,800.00. Go get some cash from these idiots.

they are a fairly large company out of Nevada and have offices in a few different states.  They do both commercial and consumer loans, They are claiming to be able to work with people who have minor credit issues in order to help them get their credit scores in line and then provide them the loan for new home purchases only - no refinance deals. My cousin recommended them but wanted to check them out online.  They did her mortgage.  I found out that they buy leads through mortgage.com and other similar websites so they claim to only call you if you filled out an inquiry online that you are looking for a mortgage/new home and have self assessed yourself as 'below average credit'. They are headquartered in NV but they have offices in So. California as well. My cousin is happy with them so far so I guess I will give it a shot.

After thought.  I decided to verify if they were a BBB A+ company and I am not sure.  There is an accredited Imperial Capital LLC in Los Angeles but it is an Investments Securities company.  In the source code of the page the rep provided you will find Imperial Meridian Capital USA which is not accredited by the BBB and is an Equipment rental and Leasing company in Los Angeles and the site seems to be more in line with Equipment leasing and renting rather than mortgage lending.  Again I could be wrong but I am going to walk on the cautious side and not hire their services.

I received a call this evening from their rep as well.  Same situation as to where they would provide service for cleaning up my credit report for $59.95.  I am sure they do their job well but as I explained to him I have been working for 4 years disputing item by item and paying others off and increased my score by 269 pts and there is not anything more they can do.  He said they could.  I have studied hard on repairing ones own credit and there are limits to what can be done and once you have everything bad removed there is nothing $59 can do to improve your score.  Only time and building a history can make it grow.  They were given my number from a site I entered information in for a FHA loan so I am thinking that site may not have been straight. Oh and Rep told me early in the conversation that my median score of 613 would be good to qualify for a home loan.  Later I said I understood one needs a 650 and he said yes they prefer a 680 but can get by with 650.  I am glad I told them I would sleep on it before hiring their service.  I did tell him I like looking this stuff up on the internet.  Not saying they are bad people just suggesting caution.  He gave me their website www.imp-capital.com and it does say "home purchase" but you are unable to click on any of the home purchase stuff only corporate items.  In their code (if you view source) there is no mention of home purchase or house.  Perhaps they are new to the mortgage lending service (my rep said they started 7 years ago) but they should direct their customers to a functional website that is able to assist and answer questions.  I believe I will pass on this one this time.

I just got the same call. They claim to be only one of two companies to have FICO qualified analysts at instantly removing disputes on your credit report. The $59 is supposed to be used for a "third tier" credit report. All credit reports are free. No such thing as different level of reports, at least not any that I'm aware of. Too bad they're dealing with a guy who is a manager for a large financial institution that knows a thing or two about credit reports and mortgages.

I get these everyday. one time i asked the guy "is this GE security or Security Solutions" He knew what I was after and hung up. Today the guy told me to do all sorts of things to myself that usually include two people and too look for his phone call at 3 AM. I think I will give them the address of a government office each time they call and tell them to send someone out since there are a lot of breakins.  Lets waste the company time by sending actual people to address's of Government offices.Ask for "Anthony" he is a "Branch Manager"

Tried to call them back to no avail, they are spoofing their caller I'd number....  This is why they don't care if you turn them in, I doubt 'Security Services' is even their real name, though it was a call center.  I would play along to get a person in front of me, but when he answered, he said, "I talked to you before".

Make an appointment with them to send someone to your door. Get their business information, address, and inform them of exactly how many calls you have received as part of their marketing strategy. Demand $100.00 per call paid within five days. When they don't pay, take them to small claims court and demand $500.00 per call, judges hate these people too. I got $1500.00 from one contractor, 3,200.00 from another, and my neighbor got 4,800.00. Go get some cash from these idiots.

For those of us with cell phones, there is a nice solution to these calls.  First, search online for a "silent" ringtone.  You can find one for free.  It is just several seconds of nothing.  Then, create a new contact, name it whatever you want (mine is IGNORE).  Link the silent ringtone to this contact.  Then the first time any of these bozos call you, add that phone number to your ignore contact.  You can add as many numbers as you want to any contact.  From that point on, when you get a call from one of them, you don't hear it and it is identified in a manner that allows it to easily be deleted.

Jetames is correct.  Nothing has stopped these annoyances for me EXCEPT having either a call blocking phone, or the call blocking feature with the phone company.   I have used the call blocking feature from my phone company, but it unfortunately will only let me block up to 30 numbers (believe it or not, I need about room for 50) and it also does not block calls that say "out of area".  I am going to look into getting one of these call blocking phones to add to what I already have with the phone company. Sad that WE have to pay our hard earned money to stop being annoyed!
